Colour INKspiration Challenge #21 Blog Hop

Straight into it today! Check out these gorgeous colours Rose picked for you for this challenge.

I thought they would be great for a fun and fresh Christmas card. I was so proud of myself. I got this card made in advance of going away. When this goes live I will be winging it home from Melbourne after going to the cup! So here I sit, telling you how gorgeous the colours are only to realise that I used Real Red and not Rose Red. So my short lived self congratulatory  happy dance turned into a mad panic. I ripped off some Real Red bows, added Whisper White bows and cheated a touch (or some may say compromised) and added a coat of Rose Red marker over the door and crab. So lesson learnt - those very expensive glasses were bought for a reason!

This is a really simple card but I love the freshness of the white and the sentiment is just perfect.

I traced the tops and bottoms of the beach huts on scrap paper and cut around my traced lines to form a mask. Then I used the lids of the Soft Sky and So Saffron markers to flick across the cardstock for sky and sand. It gives the hint of colour but keeps the freshness.

Easel cards are my go-to card fold when I need something quick and easy that still has a wow factor.

So once again sorry for the not so rosey Rose Red! Hopefully as you read this I am headed home after a fabulous time in Melbourne with maybe some winnings in my pocket. No doubt you saw me on the telly in the Fashions on the Field!
