Don't forget about the Occasions Catalogue and retiring products!

Even though everyone is so excited about the new Stampin' Up! catalogue that is due to be released in 2 days time (June 1) don't forget that you still have 2 days to order from the Occasions and current Annual Catalogues. Some of the fantastic products in them are continuing but not all so make sure you get in quick. Also there are lots of great bargains to be snapped up with some of the retiring products.

For our class today we did 2 different pop out card types using some retiring products. The first type of card fold was using the Party Pop-Up thinlits (which are not retiring - yay!).

These cute Honeycomb Embellishments make great ice creams I think.

A coat of Clear Wink of Stella adds a nice touch.

For this card I have kept it very simple and let the Bohemian DSP speak for itself.

I kept the letters from the speech bubble on the card front to add some detail to the inside. To bring out the letter details I've slipped a piece of scrap paper under the pop up piece and daubed ink on it.

They make quick and  easy cards and the pop-up part really adds the wow factor.

The second type of card was a the Double Z pop out card. I have made a few of these lately and you can see the instructions here. The Going Places DSP stack teams really nicely with the Beautiful Ride stamp set.

I had intended to add a tag on the front but I decided I liked it without. This card could be used for lots of different occasions such as Bon Voyage, Good luck, Wedding, Moving. I'll be sad to see this stamp set retire as it is so versatile in both the occasions you can use it for and the age groups.

Stroke of genius

Here is a sneak peek at one of the new stamp sets which is in the new Stampin' Up! catalogue which will be released on June 1. That's only 7 sleeps away people! This set is called Painter's Palette and is lots of fun. I love the mixed font in the sentiments and the brush stroke image adds lots of fun. There are 3 different brush stroke sizes too!

Now while this is a very simple card design, I love it. The new In Colours of Flirty Flamingo and Dapper Denim certainly make a great combination. To add a bit of dimension I have used the new Layering Squares Framelits Dies which coordinate with the set to cut out the easel frame. Adding dimension is now so easy with the new Foam Adhesive strips. Wait until you see the shaker cards I have in the pipeline.

The inside of my card is very plain but I think it packs a punch none the less. This is a quick card design that you can whip up in no time in lots of different colour combinations.

I have been working hard making samples with some more of my new goodies from the new catalogue and will be showcasing them on my blog in the coming weeks. I will have lots of new projects to show at my virtual catalogue launch. You can read all about it here. There is a link you can follow to add yourself to the guest list. I'd love to see you (well at least your Facebook photo) at my launch on June 7th.

If you don't have a demonstrator that you regularly buy from I would love to be your demonstrator. You can shop with me by clicking on the link at the top of this blog and items will be delivered directly to your home.

You'll love the new catalogue. Make sure you keep checking back to see what else I have made.

I'm hosting my first 'virtual' catalogue launch and you're invited!

The new Stampin’ Up! catalogue starts next week on June 1st. It is full of lots of great new products. If you don't have a copy yet, contact me so I can get one to you.

To showcase some of the great new products I am holding my first ‘virtual’ party on June 7th from 1 – 7 pm. It is hosted on Facebook and is something I want to trial – they seem to be all the rage with lots of party plan based companies.

So what’s involved? Well it will be live and interactive on Facebook for the 6 hours listed above. You can check it out at any time throughout those hours. It is a chance for you to see some of the new products, learn a new technique or two and even win some prizes all from the comfort of wherever you are at the time. There is no obligation to buy anything but if you did want to order anything it can all be done online through my shop and will be shipped straight to your door. Each person who orders receives a free gift.

You can read more about it and add yourself to the party guest list (and invite friends) here.  You don’t need to be friends with me on Facebook to participate. You won’t be bombarded with posts from me – just fun and informative posts about throughout the event.

It will be a fun event that will give you a little insight into what I do and what interesting products are available. There is something for the novice crafter right up to advanced crafters. All you have to do is check in sometime over the 6 hour event to see what is happening. You can stay as long or as little and check in as often as you like.

I can also help you host your own virtual party where you will receive Stampin' Rewards (that means you get products for free!) It is an easy way to gather friends from anywhere in Australia. Most virtual parties will only go for 1 hour – this launch is just a special event to cater for people with differing schedules.

Plus, as a bonus, is you book a party in June you can receive an extra $50 to spend on products. That's in addition to the usual Stampin' Rewards. So why not try a virtual party for you and your friends. Learn about new products, new techniques with your friends all from the comfort of your own home. Contact me if I can help.

What will your new favourite Stampin' Up! colour be?

So which one will make the top of your list? (I have a 3 way tie!)

These  colours will be available in the new Stampin' Up! catalogue from June 1. They are really gorgeous and go really well with lots of existing colours. Please  contact me via the button at the top of this blog if you would like to get your hands on a catalogue.

To show off a few of these new In Colours I wanted to share 2 birthday cards that I made recently for 2 fellow Stampin' Up! demonstrators - both of whom I have not met. You might have seen this hashtag popping up on social media.

Shannon West from Stampin' Up! headquarters has started a movement to bring birthdays back and it is slowly speeding across the world. You can read how it all started here. She decided to encourage people to actually send real birthday cards rather than Facebook messages. There is such great joy when you receive a handmade card. Great joy in  making them too!

So I decided that I would send Shannon a card as well as Kelly Kent (who both will be celebrating their birthdays this weekend) and I wanted to help with the movement - one card at a time! I was in love with a design that I made a few weeks ago so CASEd (copy and share everything) myself.

I have used one of the stamp sets from the new catalogue called Mixed Borders. It is fast becoming my new favourite (and yes I am totally aware I say that about every stamp set!) I've added in some metallic thread and rose from the Rose Garden thinlits into the space meant for the sentiment. Don't be afraid to make the one design in a few different colours. Nothing wrong with limited editions!

So this one features Peekaboo Peach and Dapper Denim...............

.............while this one has Flirty Flamingo with Dapper Denim. And ...... yes these are my top 3 new faves! Mint Macaron adds a nice contrast to each colour scheme.

The inside of the card is very simple as you can see. I also decorated the envelope in the same way. Of course I added the #imbringingbirthdaysback stamp on the back.

So you can see lots of exciting products await you in the new catalogue.

Happy Birthday to Kelly and Shannon. Hope you have both been inundated with birthday cards and someone thought to buy you a letter opener to help! xxx
