Cupcake on a saucer card - Waltzingmouse Stamps August blog party

Blog-Party-Logo 70%25
This is the first time I've joined any blog party and have really enjoyed making this card.

In my last post I made a teacup and saucer card and it gave me the idea to change it into a cupcake for this blog party.

I had fun working out which stamps to use for the icing and doily. After stamping the half doilly from Dainty Doillies 2 Small I used the trim from Eat Cake to finish off the icing. The scallops around the trim were punched using a corner punch with the guard removed. The plate is made from the Cheery Lynn English Tea Party die and a circle cut with Nestabilities Big scallop circles with the circle from the Dainty Doillies Large set. The happy birthday is from Frame It.

This card packs flat to fit in an envelope and then stands up for display.

You can join the blog party and find out all of the details here.
